In early October we traveled to my best friend's mom's house in Maryland, NY during peak fall foliage. The drive was beautiful (but a long 4 hours in the car)! The weekend was incredible and not only did I get precious time with my best friend and my "second" mom, we picked and pressed apples for homemade cider, went antiquing, cooked a huge feast with vegetables from the garden, drank loads of wine and hiked the land. One of the most refreshing weekends away I have had in a long time!
